Ovens Farm Vineyard is located in the village of Harrington which nestles in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the heart of Tennyson Country.
Our vines are planted on a south facing slope and protected from the cold northerly winds by a ridge line and bank of trees (Ovens Plantation). This creates a microclimate which we feel greatly benefits our vines. It is said locally that Ovens Farm was indeed named due to tendency to be just a little warmer than the surrounding area.
Our first vines were planting in the spring of 2015 with a small harvest taken in 2017. From this harvest we created our first wines, which are proving popular and have already won awards. We hope the 2018 will be better still, this will be bottled next spring and we anticipate it being ready for sale around June 2019
